Register .eu for 1 to 10 years. Names can use letters, numbers and hyphens, from 2 to 63 characters, and cannot start or end with a hyphen. Internationalized names in supported scripts are allowed. Renewal

Renew .eu any time before expiry. Auto renew is available in the client area. After expiry there is a grace period of about 30 days where renewal is still at the normal price, but the website may stop working. After that comes a redemption period of about 40 days with a higher restore fee. When all periods end, the name is released and anyone can register it.

Transfer

Transfers of .eu need the domain to be unlocked and a valid auth code from the current registrar. The registrant email must approve the request. Typical time is Usually within 1 day. Eligibility rules also apply to the new owner.

Lifecycle

A .eu name goes through these stages: Active for the paid term, then Expired with a grace period of about 30 days, then Redemption for about 40 days, then Pending delete, then released.
