01 / Overview
What is .network?
A .network domain is for internet providers, IT networking firms, professional networks and TV networks. A quick fact: This extension was added to the root zone as part of the new gTLD program.
Anyone in Pakistan can own .network. Anyone can register a .network domain. Registration is instant once payment clears.
A cable and broadband operator in Sialkot can list its packages on a .network site. That is the kind of use .network is built for.
You can register .network for 1 to 10 years at a time. Renew before the expiry date to keep your website and email running. If it expires, there is a redemption window of about 30 days, but the restore fee is higher than a normal renewal.
Moving .network to DomainWalay is simple. Unlock the domain at your current provider, get the auth code (also called EPP code), and start the transfer here. New registrations and recent transfers have a 60 day lock. Most transfers finish in 5 to 7 days.

Renew .network any time before expiry. Auto renew is available in the client area. After expiry there is a grace period of about 30 days where renewal is still at the normal price, but the website may stop working. After that comes a redemption period of about 30 days with a higher restore fee. When all periods end, the name is released and anyone can register it.
Transfers of .network need the domain to be unlocked and a valid auth code from the current registrar. A domain cannot move within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer. The registrant email must approve the request. Typical time is 5 to 7 days.
A .network name goes through these stages: Active for the paid term, then Expired with a grace period of about 30 days, then Redemption for about 30 days, then Pending delete, then released.
DNSSEC is supported for .network. You can add DS records from your DNS panel once your DNS provider signs the zone.
Public WHOIS and RDAP output for .network is redacted for most personal data. Registration data still has to be accurate, and the registry can ask for it.
